June 24th 2003- Justin, Jamie, Tori and Tim tackled the Mt Olympus Summit with Jim Cameron from Olympic Mountaineering as our guide. This 8000 foot shale/sandstone peak is only 35 miles from the Pacific Ocean, has more glaciers than any other peak in the lower 48 and features a beautifull 2 day approach through moss encrusted evergreens in the Hoh Rainforest boasting the thickest biomass of any forest or jungle in the world. Jamie and Justin were inspired to do this last year as they sat on the high divide of the Olympic National Park overlooking the Hoh river valley and looking up at Mount Olympus. One year later with Erika along for the 1st day they headed out for the summit....
